What My Authors Are Saying
See Your Story In Print
You have a story to tell and the screen stares at you blankly. That's because it's blank.
It's a great idea but where do you start? How do you get all those words on the page? How do you cope when creativity escapes you?

I help with every step involved in writing and publishing a book. My authors follow their chosen path to traditional, self- and hybrid publishing. Together, we work on plot, characterization, setting, dialogue and sequencing. From one draft to the next, we weave together a story your readers won't be able to put down.

But before it goes to print, I dot the i's and cross the t's. Manuscripts go through Beta readers, copy editors and proofreaders. Self-publishing authors connect with illustrators to create a captivating cover. Those on the traditional route learn to write query letters and how to make the most out of writers' conferences.
All my authors learn to develop a marketing plan that fits their budgets for time and money. Your book's out there. It's selling.
What's next?
Your next book, of course.
"I have been using Barbara for several years now on both manuscripts and query letters and she’s absolutely
amazing. Her attention to detail has really helped me create more vivid settings, and her grasp of dialogue has
helped me create more believable and flushed out characters. She’s definitely worth it for writers who are
hoping to take their work to the next level."
- Trong Nygyen, client and SCBWI member
It has always been a gamble for me working with editors and writing consultants, but when I found Barbara
(Mother Wilson), she exceeded my expectations. Because she is direct and straight forward, we were able to
move quickly toward a quality product. She has helped me with blogs, articles, and my book proposal for
publishing houses. I recommend her services wholeheartedly.
- Jason Coombs, Brick House Recovery
"Whether it's gaping plot-holes or fine tuning a final edit, Mother Wilson is brilliant at spotting whatever
needs to be fixed in your writing and training you on how to find those things yourself."
- Dana Proux-Willis, client, playwright and SCBWI member
